We’re delighted to introduce Paul, our new backend developer here at Climb.

After a lengthy search and interviews with a number of high caliber candidates, Paul’s passion, enthusiasm and skillset ticked all the boxes that we were looking for to grow our backend dev team. We are firm believers that if our people have a passion for what they do, then we are on to a good thing.

Taking on Paul is the result of a number of large project wins and increased requirements from our existing customers.

I managed to prise Paul away form his PC, just long enough to ask him a few questions...

Hi Paul, how’s it going?

It’s going well thanks!

Glad to hear it. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

I used to be the captain of a paintball team.

That’s cool! So, what are your interests, apart from crushing your enemies under a barrage of colour and pain?

Gaming and partying.

An intriguing and unexpected mix… What’s your favourite game?

Right now, World of Warcraft Vanilla.

I have no idea what that is. But I haven’t played a video game since 1998, so that’s no surprise - I’m sure it’s awesome.

What’s your favourite animal?

Donald Duck.

That's pretty random and very specific. Who would win in a fight between a polar bear and a silverback gorilla, on neutral ground?

Polar Bear, because of the claws. One swipe straight to the jugular, game over.

I agree with you on that one, Polar Bears FTW! If you could only have one for the rest of your life, would you choose cake or cookies?

Cookies, no, cake. Nah, cookies. COOKIES!

It’s ok, fortunately both will hopefully be in good supply for a long time. So, what’s your favourite movie?

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the original one.

Nice choice! And to finish, can you tell us a joke…

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side.

Paul, that’s a fowl joke... But luckily you have other talents, so I’ll let you get back to writing code. Bye!
